There are sublime moments in sport and there are a lot of them. We tear our eyes out very often sitting in front of the TV or watching sport events live either with joy or with anger. All the best tipsters in the world are trying to figure it our who is going to win.
Athletes themselves quite often have tears in their eyes, and not because of any injury but only because of the emotions that prevail in the human body. And this article is about such sublime moments in sport amongst the athletes.
As we know, every sportsman wants to represent his country at various international events. Regardless if this is the World Cup, Europe Championship or any event on another continent, everybody want to show their best and fight for their countries to take the best place possible. Not everyone succeed and this is very often when even the proclaimed favourites are not only occupy the first place but are out of the competition in the various phases of it. And this is when all bookmakers win the money.
Those best teams or sportsman, sometimes with a bit of luck that is always needed, are moving forward and gaining certain trophies by taking the first place. We cannot describe the feelings they got by winning trophies. Those who dropped out earlier are trying to disappear in the dressing rooms very quick and are often unable to accept defeat for a long time. Winners instead, enjoy and celebrate all the winnings together with their fans.
Certain types of athletes, more sensitive ones, do not hide tears in such cases, which can often be seen on a TV monitors. And the supporters do not judge on that, they know the tears are joy tears and nothing can be compared to that. The happiest in the world are tipsters and their clients who put their money on the underdogs.

A few weeks ago there was, held in Monaco, a draw for the Champions League groups and also an award ceremony for the best players in Europe for sporting achievements in 2011. First place, which was not surprising, because the best tipsters from around the globe picked him, took Lionel Messi playing day in/day out in Barcelona, Spain. Second place was awarded to Xavi Hernández, Messi’s team-mate. The third place took another player from the Spanish Primera Division, Christiano Ronaldo called CR7 playing at Real Madrid. All three of these footballers were so-called favourites to win the main trophy, awarded by vote of journalists each year. This year, 53 European journalists voted.
Messi in the Champions League scored 12 goals last season and was top scorer of that league. These goals are only a supplement to the entire list of goals from the season 2010/2011, in which he hit the net 53 times. It's an amazing achievement, of course, it would not be possible without his team-mates, Xavi and Iniesta. Xavi, as I mentioned, was second and Andres Iniesta fourth in voting by journalists. In the top ten, four football players were honored from Barcelona because in 8th place yet settled Gerard Piqué. Barcelona's players fully deserved the awards as they won the Champions League in the 2010/2011 season for Barcelona by defeating Manchester United 3-1.
Amongst the punters offering their sport picks there were many tips for Barca players, which later proved to be the best club in the world, winning 4-0 with brazilian Santos.
Congratulations Mesii and the whole Barcelona team!
